Having the right tools in photography is vital.  With so many products out there, it is easy to overspend and get overwhelmed.  Here is a list of my recommended photography gears that I currently use or have used in the past.

recommended photography gears Nikon D750

Nikon D750

The Nikon D750 is my workhorse. For someone that uses their cameras for extended periods of time professionally, this camera is perfect.  It is small and lightweight.  It has incredible AF in different light situations.  It is very affordable. It perfectly fits my hands, and it produces amazing quality images.

Nikon D610

The Nikon D610 is a perfect complement for my Nikon D750.  This camera is my backup body just in case my main camera body breaks down on me on a shoot.  Just like the D750, it is very affordable and is very light.  It does not have the same AF capabilities of the D750, but it is very capable of getting any job done in different lighting situation.  The Nikon D610 is one of my recommended photography gears especially for anyone that is thinking of making the jump from crop sensors to full-frame cameras.

fuji-x100t

Fujifilm X100T

The Fujifilm X100T is my go to travel and everyday camera.  It is compact and weighs so much lighter than any of my DSLR.  It is very affordable, and it produces excellent quality images.  It can mostly do everything that I enjoy in a camera, which is why I included it on my list of recommended photography gears.  It is the perfect companion for someone that enjoys traveling or taking photos daily.  If you are looking for something more affordable but could get the job done, there is an older model of this called the Fujifilm X100s.

nikon 35mm 1.8g ed

Nikon 35mm 1.8G ED

The Nikon 35mm 1.8G ED is my 35mm lens of choice for my D750.  It is very affordable.  It is small and lightweight.  It produces high-quality images in different lighting situations.  I have used its bigger brother (Nikon 35mm 1.4G) in the past, but I would rather recommend the Nikon 35mm 1.8G ED due to its price, size, and weight.

Nikon 50mm 1.8G

The Nikon 50mm 1.8G is probably one of my go to portrait lenses.  It is small and lightweight.  It produces amazing images, and it is very affordable.  For the type of work that I am doing, if someone asks me which one lens I will always bring to a shoot, the Nikon 50mm 1.8G will probably be the one that I will pick.

Nikon 85mm 1.8G

The Nikon 85mm 1.8G is the other lens I use a lot for portraits.  It is a fantastic portrait lens.  It is small and lightweight. It produces amazing results in different lighting situations, and it is very affordable compared to its bigger brother, the Nikon 85mm 1.4G, which costs three times more.  So due to this, I would recommend the Nikon 85mm 1.8G to anyone that is looking for a superb portrait lens without hurting their pockets and their necks.

Nikon 24-70mm f/2.8G ED

Though I typically use prime lenses for my work, it is important for photographers to have high-quality zoom lenses inside their bags.  I love the Nikon 24-70mm f/2.8G ED.  Sometimes a shoot or a location requires a lot of flexibility on my part and changing from one lens to another is a hassle, this is when this lens comes in handy.  The results of the images that I get from it are amazing. It is a very fast lens and performs very well in different situations.

nikon-70-200mm-vr-ii

Nikon 70-200mm f/2.8G ED VR II

I love the Nikon 70-200mm f/2.8G ED VR II.  This lens is one of my favorite lenses.  It is a perfect portrait lens.  It is a very fast lens and is built like a tank.  The subjects are nicely compressed, and it gives me pleasing bokeh.

Nikon SB-910

For the type of photography work that I do, having a reliable Speedlight is critical.  The Nikon SB-910 is my go to Speedlight for all of my photography projects.  It is quick. It is reliable. And it is powerful.

Nikon SB-700

The Nikon SB-700 is a perfect alternative for the Nikon SB-910 if the price and the size is a concern.  Though it is not as powerful as the SB-910, you could depend on it to get the job done.  I recommend this for anyone that wants to learn off-camera flash photography.
